Having originally been called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2010, Filip cross-qualified as a solicitor in 2013.

Prior to joining ASW in June 2023, Filip was a Director in the Commercial Insurance team at international law firm DWF LLP, where his broad work profile encompassed defending property damage liability claims on behalf of insurers, pursuing subrogated recovery actions, advising insurers in relation to policy interpretation and first party coverage disputes (including fraud).

Filip previously worked at the London and Manchester offices of Clyde & Co LLP for 11 years where he dealt with a broad range of both domestic and commercial insurance related matters, mainly in the context of complex property insurance claims.

In addition to English, Filip is a fluent Swedish speaker.
